Ekiti Government House Chapel Honours Former Fayose’s Aide, Others

Former Special Adviser on Religious Matter to former Governor Ayodele Fayose, Pastor Seyi Olusola and other former Chaplains who had served under different administrations in the past were honoured by Ekiti Government House Chapel on Friday for their meritorious service to the state.

Pastor Olusola was bestowed with the Award of Meritorious Service by the Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji during this month’s edition of Evening of Praise and Worship at the Government House Chapel in recognition of his meritorious service to the state as Ekiti Government House Chaplain between 2003 to 2006 and 2014 to 2018 respectively.

The former Governor’s aide in an interview with Heritagenewsng.com after the program showed his profound appreciation to Ekiti state Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji for deeming it fit to honour past Chaplains of Government House Chapel including his humble self. He also congratulated the Governor for his one year anniversary and prayed that the good Lord would see him through the rest of his tenure in office.

“I want to thank the Governor for humbling himself before God to present us with these awards. This shows the high regard he has for men of God. Let me cease this opportunity to congratulate the Governor on his one year anniversary in office. I pray the good Lord will continue to see him through in the remaining years ahead of his tenure in office”

The awardee also commended the Chaplain of Ekiti Government House, Pastor Segun Awolumate for how he has been conducting service in the chapel.

Pastor Olusola stated further that the award was a moral booster for him to do more in service to God and humanity.

“Let me also commend the Chaplain of the Chapel, Pastor Segun Awolumate for how he has been conducting service in the chapel. We are highly impressed.

“I see this award as a moral booster for us to do more in service to God and humanity. The chapel has really taken a commendable step”

Other men of God who have served as chaplains that were bestowed with honorary awards by the Governor include, Venry Rev. Simeon Okelola, venerable Ariyo Agbaje(late), Venerable Deji Alabi and Rev. Father Anthony Famuagun.
