..prays for the souls of the deceased
House of Representatives member, representing Ekiti Central Federal Constituency one, Hon. Olusola Steve Fatoba has commiserate with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen, over the collapse of Zaria Central Mosque.
The lawmaker also commiserated with the Imams and particularly, His Royal Highness, the Emir of Zazzau, Ambassador Ahmad Nuhu Bamalli, the Muslims community in Zaria Federal Constituency of Kaduna State where the Speaker represent.
Fatoba, the Chairman, House standing committee on Information, National Orientation, Ethics and Values in a statement described as disheartening and devastating the collapse of parts of the Zaria Central Mosque which led to the death of some people.
Specifically, Fatoba expressed sadness at the news of the collapse of the iconic mosque and the loss of lives to the incident, saying this would be too much for the speaker to bear.
The lawmaker who equally sympathised with the families of the departed souls, and empathized with those who were hospitalised having sustained various kinds of injury as a result of the incident.
While commiserating with the Speaker over the loss of lives of the deceased, Fatoba prayed for the repose of their souls and quick recovery to the injured.
“Dear Speaker, this is to commiserate with you over that sad incident that led to death of your people and some others who are still hospitalized. My thoughts and prayers are with you, the muslims community in Zaria Federal Constituency of Kaduna State and all those who have been affected by the tragedy.
“Mr Speaker sir, as I know that this will be too much for you to bear at this time, I stand in solidarity with you, the Muslims community and the families of the victims, offering my prayers and solace as they navigate through their grief and pain, even as I pray God to give you the courage and required strength to bear the sorrowful event” Fatoba added.
