Why Kidnappers Didn’t Demand Money In Exchange For My Son- Pastor Adeboye

Pastor E. A. Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, delivered a sermon titled “Looking Unto Jesus” yesterday (Sunday) during the RCCG August Thanksgiving Service.

He mentioned the time one of his sons was kidnapped during his speech, stating the captors didn’t demand any money to release him. He continued by outlining what they did.

According to Pastor E. A. Adeboye from the video (1:20:25): “When it looks as if your case is already too late, just look unto Jesus. In one of these countries where the Redeemed Christian Church of God is, they took away one of my sons.

He was just in the street when they grab him. It was his wife that reported the issue to us. It was very strange to be honest. How can a pastor just disappear like that without any trace? We looked for him but no positive result.

“So we looked unto Jesus because He sent us to go into the world to preach the Gospel. We told God to intervene because we sent that Pastor there to do His work.

All of a sudden, my son said, today is March 3, give me a birthday present. And after months, those who took him away set him free without demanding a ransom from the Church or his family members.”

In conclusion, he prayed, “Today might not be my birthday but everyday belongs to the Lord. So in this special day, I decree that everyone of you in any form of bondage be set free in Jesus name”.
