“Why I Called My Late Mother A Witch” Charly Boy Reveals
Veteran Nigerian singer, Charles Oputa better known as Charly Boy has explained the reason why he referred to his late mother as a witch
In a video shared on YouTube by Plus TV, Charly Boy said the reason he called his mom a witch is because when she was alive, she could tell when certain things were about to happen through her intuition and she was futuristic.
He also disclosed that the name ‘Charly Boy’ which many people now know him by is actually a pet name given to him by his mother
According to him “I had fun with my mother. I always joked about her vision and that is why I called her a witch because she was very futuristic in her thinking.
I have never seen her type before. She was forward-thinking, she held my father; that woman held the house. My father was a player but my mom tamed him. Charlie Boy was the pet name she gave me. That is why I used to call her witch”.
