The former Ondo State member House of Assembly *Hon Afolabi Iwalewa* has congratulated its party candidates elected on the platform of the party (APC) in the just concluded general elections, saying, the APC is proud to have such noble patriots distinguishing themselves in democratic contests.
In a statement signed by the former law maker, Hon Afolabi Iwalewa on Thursday also commended the State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for his unflinching support for the party candidates in the election, which went a long way in reinforcing support base for the elected parliamentarians.
The APC helmsman also congratulated the good people of Ondo State for their steadfastness in support of the APC in Ondo State, assuring them that the state governor and indeed the elected lawmakers will do everything not to take their support for granted, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Dr Jimoh Ibrahim and Prince Jimi Odimayo.
“While we salute the courage of our candidates for standing stoutly to the inglorious attempts by the rejected PDP to frustrate efforts of the great people of Ondo State in their various districts and constituencies. It is greatest moments to show leadership and commitment to the cause of service.
“The good people of Ondo State have demonstrated that they are wonderful, immune to cowardice and certainly unconquerable by any force of intimidation. The unparalleled bravery coupled with the love of our great party has earned our candidates an unequalled record of clean sweep at the poll. This we are very grateful and will remain indelible in our hearts as a party”
Hon Iwalewa, however charged electorate in the state to brace up for the last lap of the general elections coming up on March 11, 2023.
The state assembly poll slated for next weekend, according to the Hon Afolabi, provides another avenue for our people to put stamp on the mandate given and being nurtured for the state Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
The resolve must be made total against habitual fraudsters, election riggers and undisguised enemies of our people. The new lease of life being enjoyed by our people in the state must be sustained and therefore, a vote for all state candidates of the APC in the state assembly election is no doubt an expanded support for our Excellency and his people oriented disposition, Hon Iwalewa Stated.
