By Gbenga Sodeinde

Residents of Ayedun Quarters, Olaofe street, Basiri Ado Ekiti are counting their losses at the wake of incessant robbery attacks and breaking of houses in the area.

This followed a recent house breaking where shops and houses were raided by night marauders with an undisclosed huge sum of money as well as food materials allegedly carted away.

The house owners in the area who preferred anonymity told heritagenewsng.com in Ado Ekiti that the dastardly acts could be allegedly traced to some youths who have recently taken over the area due to absence of police and other security agencies patrols of the area.

Some of the landlords who were victims of the attacks on the area disclosed that shops and houses were robbed as goods as well as money amounting to thousands of Naira were carted away.

They alleged that some miscreants normally used a public primary school near the area to take cover and smoke hemps before coming out in the dark to perpatrate the dastardly acts.

They however appealed passionately to the government of Ekiti State to ensure that security of lives and properties remained Paramount.
