Oni Denies Rumour On Stepping Down For BAO

..As SDP National Chairman Endorses Him

The Social Democratic Party, SDP governorship flag bearer in Ekiti State, Engineer Segun Oni debunked the rumour peddling that he has met with the All Progressive Congress, APC presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to step down for Biodun Oyebanji of APC, adding that he is not retreating.

Oni who made this declaration today, Thursday during his finale campaign at the state pavillion in Ado Ekiti, the State capital also urged the people to vote for him enmass on Saturday’s guber poll, promising to ensure prompt payment of salaries.

He said, “some people carried rumour that I met with Bola Ahmed Tinubu that I would step down for APC, I want to tell you today that it did not happen and it will never happen.”

Also, the National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Shehu Musa Garba endorsed him, portraying Oni as a man of peace, unity, prosperity who hopes in fairness.

He thanked his loyalists for their unrelenting sacrifice and charged them to canvass for him come June 18 so as to win the election.

In his words ” Let me tell you, it’s not about today but Saturday. I want to assure you that SDP believes in Segun Oni, we have confidence in him.

He is a man of peace, a man of unity, a man of prosperity, a man ejo believes in fairness.

The party is grateful for your sacrifice and we assure you that he will deliver well.

Therefore, let’s all come out by this Saturday and vote for our son so that SDP claims victory.”

Also, the Presidential Candidate of the Party, Adewole Adebayo enjoined the party patriots to vote for Oni and support him come 2023 general election for the betterment of the State.

Attending the campaign are SDP governorship Candidate of Taraba State, Danladi Baido, Kenneth Gbagi of Delta State, Akeem Lawal of Kwara State, Dr Umar Ardo of Adamawa State, among others.
