A young girl by the name Bema met her boyfriend Kwaku Dwumfuor when she went to visit her sister-in-law at Fenase.
The guy was staying in the same house with them, he promised to marry her and helped her to get a better future. Kwaku’s promise made Bema to accept his proposal and went to stay with him.
The guy used to give her GHC10 every morning to buy food and also provide everything she needs.The young girl got pregnant six months after meeting her boyfriend and she was 16 years old by then.
His attitude towards her changed, Kwaku started going after different women in the Town and he always comes home late after work.
Bema then decides to go for another man who will cater for her pregnancy. She again got into a relationship with another guy in their neighbourhood named Tigyani.
One month later, Tigyani found out that the young girl was pregnant but she lied to him and that he is responsible for the pregnancy.
Dwumfour later came to plead with the girl’s mother to allow him to take the responsibility. So Bema went back to Dwumfour’s house again.
During delivery, she went through surgery but the guy didn’t pay for the hospital bills. It was her mother who paid the amount of GHC1,500 for the bills before she was discharged.
She went back to Dwumfuor house when the baby was four months old. But the man convinced her to do a blood covenant to know if she is faithful to him or not.
Because she loves him, she accepted to do the convenant and she made a promise that she will be involved in a car accident and die if she leaves him for another man. Bema revealed that after they did the covenant, she has been feeling uncomfortable and always falls sick.
She is now afraid that what she did with the guy is affecting her gradually and may lead to her death. According to the Dwumfour, what the young girl is saying about the blood covenant is true.
He explained that Bema is not faithful to him, he used to sleep with different guys when he goes to work. His girlfriend’s behaviour made him convince her to do the blood covenant so that she will stop going after different guys.
Dwumfuor also said even after the covenant, Bema is still having intimacy with one of the guys he works with.
