..Says Her Interview Is Deceptive

A member, Ekiti State House of Assembly, representing Ikole Constituency II, Hon. Barr. Adeoye Aribasoye has punctured the interview granted by former Chairman, Ado Ekiti Local Government, Mrs.Omotunde Fajuyi who stated that she usually signed 100m but were given 7m.
Aribasoye said it was disheartening and most unfortunate that Mrs Omotunde Fajuyi could descend so low in the name of politics: “You and I know barefaced lies and weeping up sentiments embedded in unprovoked libelous and criminal character defamation made on cruise Fm could be suicidal politically.
“As much as I feel it is not necessary to join issues on this blatant falsehood, it is equally important to clear the air on her arrant fallacies”
“Let me state clearly, as a member of Ekiti State House of Assembly who also doubles as a member of two important Committees overseeing the affairs of the LGs; Committee on Local Government and Public Accounts Committee respectively, I can authoritatively state that Mrs Omotunde Fajuyi’s statements were laced with lies, character assassination, and this boils down to an attempt to instigate the public against the government thereby heating up the polity unnecessarily.”
The human rights lawyer described as unfortunate that Mrs Fajuyi failed to explain how collected over 168m in the Council as Running Grant, and how she expended it, saying “Running Grants for the LG Amounts to – #7,000,000.00* (that’s the only one she is laying claim to.
“Unfortunately, she didn’t inform her audience how she expended this in two record years. At least, she collected over #168m as running grants in her two years of office”.
On the Mrs Fajuyi’s claim that it was the Governor who usually superintends over JAAC and dictates the amount that should be released to her.” Aribasoye described this as not only libelous but criminal character defamation.
The lawmaker said, “Now, what she fails to inform the general public particularly the gullible ones are, the Governor of Ekiti State has never at no time superintended over JAAC meeting in Ekiti, There has never been anytime the Governor gave directives on how LG funds should be shared or spent”.
Aribasoye revealed further, “For the avoidance of doubt, from records, Ado LG monthly allocation is shared and expended as stated below using her quoted figure of #100m as baseline”.
Besides, he explained that the 5% of it goes to Kabiyesi (Palace) and their Chiefs which amounts to #5,000,000,000.00 monthly adding that Monthly Salary of Staff Amounts to #50,000,000.00.
“Monthly Salary of Primary School teachers in Ado Local Government amounts to – #30,000,000.00-, Monthly Salary of Political office holders including the Chairman which she was then amounts to – #6,000,000.00, – Salary of Peace Corps in Ado LG Amounts to – #1,200,000.00.
“Monthly Stipend to Amotekun is #800,000.00, Now, when you add this figures together, you will get a sum total of #100,000,000.00 figure she quoted.
“If not for mischief making, Mrs Omotunde Fajuyi ought to have explained this details rather than misleading the general public and also subjecting the government of Ekiti State into public opprobrium”. Aribasoye added: “Well, we are not disappointed in any form, it is in the character of a snake to sting”.
