Ekiti Assembly Has Passed Seventy Two Bills So Far – Afuye

Ekiti State House of Assembly says it’s has passed seventy two bills into law between 2019 and 2021.

Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Funminiyi Afuye stated this while featuring on a live radio programme “S’etigbo?” sponsored by the Ekiti State Government to project programs and achievements of Governor Kayode Fayemi in office.

Hon. Afuye who explained that most of the laws were made to promote good governance and economic prosperity across the towns and villages in Ekiti.

He listed other laws made to promote peace in the society to include Ekiti State Discrimination Against Persons with Disabilities, Ekiti State Sexual Violence against Children ( Compulsory treatment and care ) Law , Ekiti State Transition Law , Ekiti State Food Security Law , Ekiti State Gender – Based Violence (prohibition) Law amongst others.

Mr Afuye who pointed out that administration of Governor Fayemi had genuinely placed priority on the People’s welfare, observed that the Lawmakers were giving free hands to operate without any fear of intimations.

The Ekiti House of Assembly Speaker said that the present administration would continue to promote good governance and economic development with a call on residents to support the APC Governorship Candidate in order to sustain the lofty programmes and policies of Fayemi’s administration.
