The All Progressives Congress (APC), Candidate in the June 18 governorship election in Ekiti State, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO), at the weekend, visited the Ekiti State Agency for Persons Living with Disability, and assured them of his deep love for all the special people in the state.
Oyebanji who promised to always champion their cause vowed to discourage any form of discrimination against people living with disability.
Those present at the meeting applauded BAO when he volunteered to push around, joyfully, Adedara Lateef, who had remained on his wheel chair while the meeting lasted.
Lateef, a graduate of Computer Science,, who specialises in phone repairs was excited and praised Oyebanji for his kindness.
“This act of love, as expressed by Hon Oyebanji, has further assured me and my other colleagues that the former Secretary to the Stste Government is indeed a compassionate leader. People speak well of him and he has proved it,”
Corroborating, Lateef’s position, the Chairman of the agency, Mr Obanise Gbenga also commended Oyebanji and assured him of his members’ commitment to his victory at the polls.
“We hope to partner him when he eventually becomes our governor in Ekiti State,” Gbenga stated.
It would be recalled that Governor Kayode Fayemi created the office for the people living with disability with a Senior Special Assistant and a board with a chairman and three board members who are also people living with disability in charge.
