African Day In Brazil: Governor Shed Tears As Yoruba King Presents Award

A Governor in Brazil , João Doria , the Saopaulo state governor yesterday shed tears of joy as he received an award of merit from a Nigerian Yoruba king , Kabiyesi (Oba Ogboni), Adekunle Aderounmu at the just concluded 15th Africa-Brazil award night in Saopaulo, Brazil.

The award ceremony  which was transmitted live on YouTube Chanel was a total celebration of África and Brazil , it marked the African Cultural Center , 2021 , Prêmio África-Brazil , an annual event which celebrates and awards  outstanding persons, sociocultural groups , organizations, and associations in Brazil and around the world

The Premio Africa-Brazil 2021 awarded important dignitaries under the classification of different categories.

Apart from Joao Doris, the State Governor, the Nígerian Ambassador to Brazil, His Excellency, Ambassador Isiaka Abdul Quadir Imam was also merited with an outstanding award under the category of International relations.

Ivan Lima awarded under the category of Racial equality , Luiza Trajano under the Affirmative contributions, Jose Arcanjo under the category of journalism and Geraldo Rufino under the category of Businesses .

The event was marked with dance ,drama , songs and displays from exceptional African cultural groups.

According to Oba Adekunle Aderounmu, who also is the founder and President of the African Cultural Center, the annual event is to continue promoting sociocultural values and integration among all people of African descents in Brazil and around the world.

He thanked the Governor of Saopaulo, the Honorable Ambassador of Nigeria to Brazil, and all other recipients of the award, he urged them to continue in their good deeds.
