WORLD JUNIOR ATHLETICS: 2 Ekiti Born Runners Set For Kenya

The duo of Fakorede Adekalu and Bamidele Ajayi from Ekiti state are set to contend with young runners from across the world as the 2 Ekiti born runners have qualified for the World Junior Under 20 Athletics Championship in Kenya.

Adekalu clocked a time of 10.26 seconds in 100 metres and 20.98 seconds in 200 metres at Olympics trials at Yabatech in Lagos to book a place in the World Championship.

His fellow Ekiti runner, Bamidele Ajayi clocked 46.20 seconds in 400 metres at a Championship in Akure, Ondo State capital to qualify for same event.

The World Junior Under 20 Athletics Championship will hold in Nairobi, Kenya between 17th and 22nd of this month.
