A social media platform known as matured minds Ekiti has given reasons for the celebration of its one year anniversary.
The platform through its selected members who featured in a special program on Voice FM(89.9) yesterday morning spoke extensively on the motives behind the formulation of the platform and what it has been able to achieve in the last one year of its existence.
Hon. Ehinafe Odunayo who led the delegation of Matured Minds to Voice FM in an interview session when asked by the moderator on the reasons why the platform is
celebrating its one year anniversary said, “We want to celebrate our one year anniversary to see each other, to celebrate ourselves, to make ourselves happy, to praise God for what he has been to doing in our life and what his still doing in our life”
His views was further corroborated by one of the prominent members of Matured Minds who is also a member of PDP in Ekiti state, Mr Eminent Aina Olugbenga.
According to Mr Eminent, the platform is all about Ekiti agenda, Ekiti development.
He added that the platform consisted of other members from minor parties and it has been able to achieve alot since its formulation.
On reservations by some people on the essence for the formulation of the platform, he said, “We must start doing things in a normal way. A change comes from everybody, as a youth we must gather together to make a change”
He gave kudos to the admin of the platform, Hon. Ehinafe for formulating the platform which has offered everyone the opportunity to bear his or her mind on issues in a matured
way.
Another prominent member of the platform, Mr Leye Ogunseyin of YPP in his own submission during the interview session said the main motive of members on the platform is to discuss Ekiti agenda irrespective of party interest and affiliation.
“We discuss about what belongs to us, either you are APP, YPP, PDP, NRM or any other political party. We were first Ekiti before we became conscious of being a Yoruba man”
He stressed further that it was Ekiti agenda and development that binded them together.
On some of the achievements of the platform, the admin, Hon. Ehinafe Odunayo stated that members of the platform have visited orphanage homes with gifting of items, celebration of member’s birthday.
He also added that the platform has let members know the need to behave maturely.
The admin also used the opportunity to preach about love and unity among members irrespective of party affiliation.
It was also made known that plans were ongoing on the need to spread the tentacles of the platform to all the sixteen local governments areas in the state including the newly created 19 LCDAS.
The parting word to people is that Ekiti agenda and interest should be upper most on the mind of every member of the platform irrespective of political party.
