The publisher of Kayegbo International magazine, Chief Ogunniyi Morakinyo (Kayegbo), has identified some of the reasons why the APC/Tinubu did not get the expected votes in Lagos and some other states during the last Presidential election.

Said he: “ Good policy of Naira swap introduced by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, with the support of President Muhammadu Buhari at the wrong time and fuel scarcity contributed to the poor showing of Tinubu in the affected states.

“Those that have PVC had financial crunch as they were unable to get cash from the bank to take them to their various voting centres while fuel scarcity and its attendant hike in the cost of transport fare, constituted a major problem to voters. We have 87 million registered voters but only less than 25 millions actually voted.

“Some Yoruba elders and some notable fake pastors, for their selfish interest poisoned the mind of the electorate against the ruling party

“Truth be told, the Naira swap policy, produced the best election conducted so far in the history of Nigeria”.
