“Why I Marked Birthday In My Father’s Outfit”-Alaafin of Oyo’s Daughter Reveals

Princess Taibat Adeyemi, a former Commissioner in Oyo State and daughter of the late Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamide Adeyemi, has revealed why she marked her birthday in her father’s outfit.

Princess Taibat who brought honoured her late father by marking her birthday today in his outfit revealed that she wore his outfits to show how much she misses him.

“The saying goes “you never know what you have until you lose it” not in my case, I’ve always known, I’ve always known how much you loved me. I’ve always known what you meant to me. I’ve always known who you are and I am who I am today because of all you’ve
taught me.

In celebration of my birthday today I will like to honor my father, it’s only fitting that I wear HIS CLOTHES, HIS CANE. Hmmm Saying I miss you is an understatement of the Century. Each big event reminds me of what I’ve lost. Ileya , mother’s birthday, my birthday, your birthday. I keep wondering when It’ll truly feel to celebrate things again ( like I use to before ) everything is different now..HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME” Princess Taibat Adeyemi wrote.

Recall that the Alaafin, who was the third from the Alowodu Ruling House, died in the late hours of Friday, April 22nd at the Afe Babalola University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti.
