The Secretary to Ekiti State Government, Dr. Habibat Adubiaro, has shed light on the reasons behind the widespread support for Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s second term bid by the people of Ekiti State.
Speaking on Thursday at an endorsement event organized by Ado-Ekiti APC and an empowerment programme for party members at the Fajuyi Mini Pavilion, Ado-Ekiti, Dr. Adubiaro cited the governor’s exceptional leadership and achievements as the driving forces behind his growing popularity. According to her, Oyebanji’s integrity and commitment to fulfilling his campaign promises have earned him the trust of the people.
She highlighted the governor’s success in ensuring equitable development across all local governments in the state, with particular emphasis on Ado-Ekiti, which has seen significant improvements in infrastructure under his administration.
“The people of Ekiti State have witnessed Governor Oyebanji’s remarkable performance within just two years. His accomplishments have inspired confidence in his ability to lead, and they are now calling for his re-election in 2026. He is a man who has stayed true to his word, and for that, he is trusted,” Dr. Adubiaro remarked.
She further explained that the endorsement from Ado-Ekiti’s APC chapter and the empowerment programme were expressions of gratitude for the governor’s attention to the state capital in terms of infrastructure and appointments.
“We in Ado-Ekiti are especially grateful for the governor’s focus on our city, and this endorsement is a way to show our appreciation and encourage him to continue his good work,” she added.
In his remarks, the Ado-Ekiti APC Local Government Chairman, Hon. Mike Akinleye, expressed his deep gratitude to the BAO political appointees for their efforts in giving back to the community. He reaffirmed the party’s unwavering support for the governor, noting that the people of Ado-Ekiti remain solidly behind his administration.
