An adage in Yoruba is apt to our discussion here, it literally says in English that: ‘the tree with most ripe fruits ges more stone thrown at it.” Meaning in the context of our discussion here that when a man has potentials for greatness and success, he faces more criticism and has more enemies for himself.
The Ekiti APC candidate and his party have had to contend with a lots of banters, blackmails and attacks more than any other candidate and political party contesting the forthcoming June 18 governorship poll since the electioneering campaign began and may still be faced with more attacks.
However, the reason for this is not far fetched, it is simply because Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji is the best man for the job. He is simply the best and the one Ekiti should vote for.
In the same vein, his party, the APC remains the party to beat because of Governor Kayode Fayemi’s long list of laudable achievements in the state which are already unsettling the opposition already.
Obviously, Oyebanji has been faced with many of the recent attacks because the opposing camps have been intimidated by the great records of the APC’s government coupled with an equally intimidating profile of the candidate.
However, APC should have been prepared for this, and they ought not to allow this to trouble them, and I know Oyebanji is equal to the task because he is well prepared for the race, he is a man who has come to realize that, ‘in the quest to give the world your best, you must be ready for the fiercest opposition and attacks by those who don’t want the best to happen.
So, what is happening now is normal and expected, and his tree can not stop bearing good fruits because of the fear of sticks and stones.
Oyebanji definitely has a lot to offer and he has a lot upstairs and when it comes to offering quality leadership, he stands out as the best among the rest. This is responsible for all that has been happening since, particularly about the attacks from the opposing camps.
Therefore, my take is for Oyebanji and the APC to remain strong and keep moving and keep working because the result is near and by June 18, 2022, the Lord will bring them bountiful reward through the people’s votes for him and for the party. Let me say congratulations in advance.
