Who Is Afraid of JKF’s Great Reset Agenda?

By Oke Aruleba @Deprof.

It is like restating an obvious fact to say that our dear native land(Nigeria) is not in her most excellent condition socio-economic- wise.

Insecurity, economic depression and many more social vices hold sway in a country which, primordially has been nurtured to a healthy and prosperous status by the sweat and blood of our heroes past and present.

The country of our pride, regrettably, is at the verge of socio-economic collapse under anemic democracy.

Put succinctly, our dear nation has been labouring under the asphyxiating grips of inept leaders who keep experimenting with the collective destiny of our dear nation via administering a full dosage of inappropriate antidotes of trial and error medication, even to barbiturate degree, to a nation under siege.

A drastic disease, they say, needs a drastic cure!

The mind-boggling question is : should our dear nation continue to grapple with the mess of socio-economic woes when gifted and willing hands such as Dr Kayode Fayemi, who can turn her precarious situation around, is fully prepared for the RESCUE MISSION of his father’s land ? There is truism in the dictum that domestic animals in a household of elders are spared the risk of suffering parturition.

In all fairness and sincerity, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, in spite of the dearth of or meagre economic resources in Ekiti State, has been able to propel Ekiti State to the fore-front of developmental heights. It is no gainsay that JFK has positively harnessed the available resources in Ekiti State to accomplish many people-oriented projects in Ekiti State.

” Kini Fayemi ti e se l’Ekiti naa ni awon Olofo ti nbinu Ologo nso”, meaning, what laudable feats has Fayemi achieved in Ekiti? This has been the derogatory remarks arising from the end of all unlucky Goners who are envious of the Child of Destiny.

Permit me , therefore , to say that “esin eni kii ga loju ota eni”, meaning, no matter how gregarious one’s horse is, it will always remain an object of denigration by one’s adversaries.”

JFK, Carry go Joo!

Fixing our dear country , no doubt, will be an arduous task that requires sacrifice, grit, tact, expertise and political cum administrative finesse.

JKF is one in a million Presidential Hopefuls, who has all it takes to return our ailing country to the path of sound health, freedom and socio-economic and political prosperity.

But the pertinent question is: what magic wand does JKF possess to fix a country a country that has been battered by political jobbers’? What utmost curative panacea will JKF apply to a nation that has been traumatically seared by the fire of maladministration and corruption which had sadly crippled the one-time beautiful bride whose socio-economic life span continues to ebb at a geometrical progression?

JKF’s approach to fixing our dear country via his “GREAT RESET AGENDA” is not farfetched. It is a feasible and achieveable time-bound noble and LIFE-CHANGING strategy which will make our dear Nigeria bounce back to a steady health in all the departments of her life.

JKF’s GREAT RESET Agenda was hinged on the following recuperating antidotes:

First, and foremost, JFK identified a NOTICEABLE CRACK in a POLITICAL ENTITY called Nigeria. This crack is traceable to a faulty foundations and and problem-oriented MODUS OPERANDI. Therefore, JKF advocated devolution of powers, strengthening of Local Government system.

He clamoured for a complete re-organisation of the entity called Nigeria, which is the only panacea for the concatenation of the socio-economic and political challenges besetting our dear Country.

Our Amiable Presidential Hopeful , Dr Fayemi, further situated his GREAT RESET IDEOLOGY on the premise that “an all-round reset” is a sine-qua-non for national rebirth in the face of a plethora of challenges in our country.

JKF, while expousing the feasible modus operandi of his Great Reset Agenda, opened a new vista of progressive thought that reforming an existing political system, no doubt, will be an arduous task but it is a gradual and “a permanent work in progress”

Dr Fayemi, stressed that a country contending with socio-economic and political challenges should not be treated to a full dose of the make-shift and short term solutions which only offer a temporary succour.

Therefore, he advocated that premium attention should be given to strengthening the local government system, devolution of more powers over internal security, decentralization of the polity and the adoption of a fiscal federalism which is fair to all, among others.

In order to push home the thematic preoccupation of his message , JKF summed up his Great Reset Agenda in some moving words :
“I would like to suggest that there are many domains of a national reset which we need to pay attention to than we have done before. These include deepening of the decentralization of the polity, the strengthening of the local government system, the devolution of more powers over internal safety and security of the States and the adoption of a fairer system of fiscal federalism, the pan-Nigerianization of citizenship rights on the basis of place of residence, the pursuit of new approaches to diversity management, the autonomization of the legislative and judicial arms of government, a wholesome reform of the judicial system, the revamp of the civil service for a radically more efficient delivery to citizens, and an institutionalized zero tolerance approach to the fight against corruption”,

Full of optimism about his Great Reset Agenda for Nigeria , JKF was inspired by Buchminster Fuller’s quote:
” You never CHANGE THINGS by FIGHTING the EXISTING REALITY. To CHANGE SOMETHING, BUILD a NEW MODEL that makes the EXISTING MODEL OBSOLETE.”

In other words, with this new Reset Model, JKF’s opined that Nigeria would become great again, and he also took pride in the conviction that the changes which Nigerians are yearning for are achieveable when leadership is able to understand these challenges and muster the Will and Courage to surmount them.

For the fire of the Nigerian Project to be fully ignited, and be translated into a REALITY, Nigerians must believe in its VIABILITY.

The APC Presidential Hopeful, Dr Kayode Fayemi rounded off by appealing to Nigerians to rise to the majestic heights of returning the country to the threshold leading to greatness:

“WE can OPEN a NEW CHAPTER in OUR JOURNEY of UNFINISHED GREATNESS”.

In the light of the foregoing, Dr Kayode Fayemi occupies a more vantage position than other candidates jostling for the plum job of Aso Rock, the Nigeria’s Seat of Power come 2023.

Vote Dr Kayode Fayemi for President
Vote BAO/MCA for Governor.
Vote APC.
