The Senate Spokesman and Senator representing Ekiti South Senatorial District, Senator Yemi Adaramodu, has declared that the sole political agenda of leaders and stakeholders in Ekiti South is the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO), and his running mate, Mrs Mojisola Christiana Afuye (MCA).
Adaramodu made this declaration on Saturday while hosting APC leaders and party chieftains from Ekiti South at his residence in Ilawe-Ekiti during the annual meeting of Southern leaders in the state.
Addressing the gathering, the senator emphasised that the South had resolved to speak with one voice ahead of the forthcoming governorship election, stressing that there was no division or alternative agenda among stakeholders in the district.
“Our only agenda in Ekiti South today is BAO and MCA. We have no other agenda. The success of Governor Oyebanji and his deputy, Mrs Afuye, is the collective decision and commitment of the South,” Adaramodu stated.
He explained that Governor Oyebanji and Mrs Afuye had both demonstrated unwavering loyalty and commitment to the APC over the years, even during difficult times, noting that their sacrifices and steadfastness to the party earned them the full support of party leaders in the district.
According to him, “These are people who have laboured, suffered and remained loyal to the party when it was not convenient. They deserve our total support at this time, and Ekiti South is ready to stand firmly behind them.”
Adaramodu also commended party members and aspirants from the South for showing maturity and party discipline by not contesting against the party’s candidates during the primaries, describing the move as a clear demonstration of unity and commitment to the progress of the APC in Ekiti State.
He urged party faithful across the district to intensify grassroots mobilisation and campaign efforts ahead of the main election, charging them to work tirelessly to ensure a resounding victory for the APC at the polls.
“The primaries are over. What remains now is for all of us to go back to our wards, units and communities and work for the party so that we can defeat our opponents convincingly,” he added.
The meeting was attended by prominent APC leaders from Ekiti South, including members of the House of Representatives, former deputy governor of the state, former lawmakers, party executives, and other critical stakeholders, all of whom pledged their commitment to the party’s victory in the forthcoming election.
