Tribute to Com. Bar. Abimbola Monsurat Boluwade

It is with profound sorrow and heavy heart that I write this on the untimely passing of Com. Bar. Abimbola Monsurat Boluwade, whose sudden departure on August 13, 2024, has left us all in deep shock and mourning. At just 38 years old, Abimbola was a vibrant and dynamic staff member of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, recently elevated to the esteemed position of Director of Legal Services.

Abimbola was not only a brilliant lawyer but also a dedicated and meticulous professional. Her commitment to her duties was unwavering; she approached every assignment with focus and delivered results with remarkable precision. Her keen insight into legal matters, combined with her ability to articulate complex issues, made her an invaluable asset to our team.

As an active member of PASAN, Ekiti State chapter, she exemplified the spirit of collaboration and dedication to service, advocating for the rights and welfare of her colleagues. Her quiet nature masked a courageous heart; she was never one to withhold her well-considered advice, offering bold perspectives that enriched our discussions.

The Ekiti State House of Assembly will deeply feel her absence. Abimbola’s vibrant presence on social media, where she engaged with her followers with great enthusiasm, will be sorely missed. Most heart-wrenchingly, her little children will now grow up without the loving care of their remarkable mother.

Though her time with us was far too short, Abimbola’s life was full of impact. We honor her memory and celebrate the legacy she leaves behind—a legacy of excellence, dedication, and passion for justice.

Rt. Hon. Adeoye Stephen Aribasoye
Speaker, Ekiti State House of Assembly
