And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand. (Acts 28:3)
There is something about fire that most people don’t understand. Any child of God that carries fire is a threat and a terror to the kingdom of darkness.
You won’t know who is who in your life, marriage, academics, ministry, office, business until you rekindle the fire of God in you and become hot.
It is one thing to be on fire for God and it’s another thing to be too hot to handle, because when you become too hot, the heat that is produced from the fire you carry will reveal the true identity of things around you.
In the island of Malta, Apostle Paul gathered firewoods which speaks of Evangelism and ministry. He gathered people and started a ministry but note carefully that the bible said he also gathered a snake (viper) and he didn’t know, because the viper pretended to be firewood while it’s a snake.
Firewoods are those who are around you that will help you stay on fire for God. There is no way snakes can survive under this environment unless the firewoods you gathered are still watery.
But as long as they are dry, they catch the fire easily, they catch your vision and run with it. When the fire became hot, the bible said the Viber (snake) which has been pretending to be firewood couldn’t bear it anymore than to reveal itself.
TOO HOT TO HANDLE.
Don’t be surprised when people you trust all of a sudden because your enemies, don’t be surprised when people you have helped in life all of a sudden turn against you with so much bitterness and hated, it’s because the fire has become 🔥 hot for them to handle.
There is a fire that revealth the serpent…
Until you heat the fire, those snakes around you will be there pretending as if they are firewoods supporting your vision unknown to you that they are actually looking for an opportunity to strike…
If you must heat the fire of God in life, then you must be consistent with God, faithful in the assignment given to you and maintain a rugged prayer life.
