Heritagenewsng reports that the Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps is on the trail of two suspected thieves who specialize in stealing engines and other parts of the vehicles being realized by mechanics.
Dada Durojaye and Jamiu Fawaz are part of the five man gang who specializes in raiding mechanics shops and garages to steal vehicles engines and other parts when the mechanics have left their places of work.
According to the NSCDC spokesman in the State Babawale Zaid Afolabi, three of the gang members; Dauda Wasiu 17, Qowiyu Kareem18 and Daud Bello 18, are already in their custody while manhunt has commenced for the other two who are stil at large.
” On Sunday 24th of October, 2021, one Yusuf Muritala came in lodge a complaint about missing vehicle engine and other parts where the things are kept and mentioned names of the suspects'” the CDPRO stressed.
He spoke further that the three suspects were later rounded up at their hideouts at Offa Garage while the remaining two are on their wanted list.
One of the suspects Dauda Wasiu has confessed to the stealing of the motor engine adding that he was only given two thousand naira after the operation.
