It was a moment of solidarity for The Founder of Opeyemi David Falegan Foundation, Hon. Opeyemi David Falegan has he gave taxi drivers in Ekiti state.
The exercise was designed to reduce the suffering of both the passengers and drivers are passing through in the country in the last few months as a result of the economy situation in the country.
The free fuel exercise took place at Adekaitan petrol station,Adehun area of Adebayo Ado Ekiti today Saturday 21st of December.
The gesture afforded the foundation an opportunity to identify with the drivers as a critical stakeholders in the state by alleviating people suffering during this festive period that people will be more engaged in transit.
Addressing the motorists (taxi drivers) at the fuelling station earlier before the commencement of the distribution, the foundation’s Director General, Comrade Samuel Ajibola said that, Hon. Opeyemi David Falegan will soon come to the state to put more smiles on the faces of the poor who are at the receiving ends now.
According to Ajibola, the free fuel was one of many good things that has been coming from Falegan over 8 to 9 years ago.
He also stated that with ODF Foundation knows their problems in the state because, he has a listening ear and has always shared in their pains.
He commended the position of taxi drivers in information dissemination and further encouraged them to remain the foot soldiers of ODF and to continue to carryout the good message of the foundation to all the nooks and crannies of the State.
Reacting, some of the beneficiaries, commended ODF Foundation and Hon. Falegan for remembering the poor at the critical time, stressing that they have their supports to him and his foundation.
One of the beneficiaries, Mr.Ajibare Taiwo commended the sponsor of the free fuel supply, noting that it would add value to his business.
Another driver, Mr ADU Olatunbosun who expressed gratitude to the foundation and Hon. Falegan of the free fuel supply, assured that they will always give him support when needed.
Meanwhile Mr Ajorin Deji described Falegan as a “true friend of the masses and the leading Philanthropist in Ekiti”
He added that, since he has been matured, he hasn’t seen any philanthropist who will persistently giving to the masses without government funds.
