A socio Cultural group based in Sweden, Ayo Olopon has seek collaboration with Ekiti state government with a view to promoting cultural heritage in the state.
The club’s President and Founder, of African Concept Limited Mr. Jide Aloba, a.k.a. Jide Boss in a statement he personally signed and made available to Heritage News said the collaboration would enhance interchange of culture that would foster development of tourism and cultural heritage of Ekiti.
Jide Aloba who is an Ikere Ekiti born, based in Sweden explained that there was growing awareness about tourism and cultural heritage, hence the need for the collaboration between Ekiti state government and Ayo Olopon Club in Sweden.
He disclosed that Ayo Olopon Club founded and registered in Sweden in 2006 had organized competition in Ekiti State to create awareness for preservation of the state cultural heritage.
The President explained that Ayo Olopon “is an important weapon that could foster peace, unity and love which is very important at this time and particularly to promote our cultural heritage and foster development”
“Let me use this opportunity to The Honourable Commissioner for Arts, Culture, and Creative Economy in Ekiti state, who doubles as Chairman of the forum of commissioners for Culture , Tourism, Art, Heritage, and creativr economy in Nigeria, Professor Rasaki Ojo Bakare, and Barr. Ambassador Wale Ojo Lanre, the Director General of Ekiti State Tourism Development for their efforts so far since their appointments as Commissioner, and the DG in the state respectfully. They have really tried and deserves commendation”.
“I am therefore directing this piece to the two of them to consider this proposal and follow it up as it will bring a lot of development and increase our rich tourism potential awareness In Ekiti state that will drive the economy of the State and ensure culture interchange between Sweden and Ekiti.”
