After many years of suffering, succour has finally come the way of no fewer than 1000 physically-challenged men and women with the donation of wheelchairs, Canes and Crutches by the founder of Opeyemi David Falegan Foundation(ODF) Hon. Opeyemi David Falegan a non-governmental organisation.
Falegan procured the items of succour for the handicapped persons through his pet project- Opeyemi David Falegan Foundation. It was one of series of interventions by the foundation that have changed lives and given hope to the hopeless as well as provided relief for the needy.
The beneficiaries, who before the gifts had faced challenges moving from one place to the other, could not hide their joy, while others were overwhelmed with emotions as they broke down shedding tears of joy in the process.
Making the presentation in Ado Ekiti,Falegan disclosed that the wheelchairs were donated by his foundation .
He stated that since its establishment some years back, the ODF had helped several people within and outside the state.
The Founder stressed that the foundation had been able to impact many lives and provided lots of humanitarian interventions in many areas of human endeavors.
“The foundation has been able to train youths in various skills acquisition programmes, provided medical interventions, carried out life-saving advocacies as well as consistently distributed relief materials to the needy and food to people with disabilities,provided support for widows in the state,”Falegan said.
He stressed that the foundation had been able to impact many lives and provided lots of humanitarian interventions in many areas of human endeavors.
“The foundation has been able to train youths in reproductive rights, various skills acquisition programmes, provided medical interventions, carried out life-saving advocacies as well as consistently distributed relief materials to the needy and food to people with disabilities in the state,”he added
Some of the beneficiaries commended the founder of the foundation for impacting positively in lives of Ekiti people.
In his on remark, Mr Aregbesola Michael praised Falegan for the great achievements he has recommended so far in his humanitarian service
Aregbesola said, he was overwhelmed with the wheelchair gift given to him.
Another beneficiary, Mrs Adeleye Olaloye thanked him for bringing joy into her family adding that she was not expecting such from a non governmental organization at this hard time.
Meanwhile Mr Apanisile Tope said, it is only God that can reward the founder of the charity organization.
One of the last year beneficiaries, Prince Adesanya Oladapo commended Falegan for his outstanding performances in empowering the people of the state.
He urged well meaning Nigerians to emulate his good intentions
Adesanya urged beneficiaries to ensure good usage of the items benefited.
Apanisile said that the founder had touched many lives in Ekiti in the last few years in a different way.
