Son In-law Allegedly Kidnapped Mother In-law In Delta
A 70-year-old widow, Mrs Regina Amayo, has narrated how her son-in-law, Ekpo Kingsley, allegedly abducted her from her house in Ekuma-Abavo, Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, after he had a disagreement with his wife.
According to Sunday PUNCH, the widow, whose husband passed away in 2019, was reportedly forcefully taken out of her home around 10pm on Tuesday to an unknown location.
Narrating her ordeal, she said, “I was asleep around 10pm on Tuesday when I heard loud banging on my door, and someone shouting for me to open it.
The force of the banging frightened me. Before I could react, the door was pulled down, and I saw someone holding a cutlass, dragging me and warning me that if I screamed, he would harm me.”
According to her account, she was forcefully taken out of her house by someone wielding a cutlass at around 10pm on Tuesday.
She went on to say that she was pulled along to a waiting vehicle, where she realized it was her son-in-law due to the lateness of the hour.
He then took her to his house in Owa-Alero, where she was confined to a children’s room. After a few minutes, he and his girlfriend forcibly took her out of the room and into their vehicle before speeding away.
According to the septuagenarian, she was taken to a hotel after being abducted and kept in a room by her son-in-law and his girlfriend.
She stayed there until the following morning, when her children began searching for her.
During her captivity, the woman claimed that her son-in-law did not say anything to her until the morning when she was informed about the disagreement he had with his wife, Rita.
Rita had reportedly fled from the house to save her life and that of her children after allegedly being severely beaten and injured by her husband.
