.Appreciate constituents, party members
The lawmaker representing Ikole constituency II in the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Hon Adeoye Aribasoye, has said the solid backing he got from members of the All progressives Congress and particularly his constituents, gave him a landslide victory in the March 18 poll.
Aribasoye, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Media and Public Affairs , was reelected in his constituency in the March 18 poll, after defeating his opponents and candidates of the People’s Democratic Party and Social Democratic Party.
Appreciating his constituents for the landmark victory, on Sunday, the APC chieftain, said his triumph in the poll, was a validation of the widespread impression that he has represented the people well in the last four years.
With this remarkable feat, Aribasoye promised to rededicate himself to the service of his constituents and Ekiti people, by being committed to act of lawmaking to ignite good governance and improved wellbeing for the citizens.
The lawmaker appreciated Governor Biodun Oyebanji, his predecessor, Dr Kayode Fayemi and party leaders for giving him the ticket and also worked tirelessly for his victory at the poll, promising not to betray the confidence reposed in him by his people.
He said: “Let me thank very respectfully, the people of Odo Ayedun Ekiti, Ayebode Ekiti, Esun Ekiti, Oke Ayedun Ekiti, Ipao Ekiti, Oke Ako Ekiti, Irele Ekiti, Ijowa Ekiti, Odo Oro Ekiti, Itapaji Ekiti and Iyemero Ekiti for backing me solidly in this election. In fact, I was overwhelmed by the quantum of support I got from the people.
“I appreciate all the traditional rulers, security agencies and other stakeholders whose efforts contributed to my reelection. I will never disappoint you.
“I know that our Governor, Biodun Oyebanji is desirous of making Ekiti a beacon of development in the Southwest, and I understand perfectly that the assembly, as an intellectual hub of government will play a major role in this regard.
“The incoming 7th Assembly, which I know will be dominated by APC, will play that complementary roles to smoothen all rough edges and curves, for the government to deliver on its campaign promises to the populace”.
