The two male suspects, Ayo Taiwo, 25 and Jude Prince Ovat, 21, who confessed to have dispossessed several commercial motorcycles riders of their means of livelihood, however, said they sold each of the stolen bikes for N150,000.

The PPRO further said that bystanders, “who witnessed the rather quick incident, raised an alarm that drew the attention of Rapid Response Squad (RRS) officers on patrol in the area”, leading to their prompt arrest.
“The suspects, who confessed to have stolen several motorcycles in similar manner, disclosed that they sold each stolen motorcycle for One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira (N150,000)”, the police image maker revealed.
Meanwhile, the state Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alabi, has directed RRS Commander, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, to transfer the suspects and exhibit to the CP’s Special Squad, for further investigation that would lead to the arrest of the fleeing gang member, their possible criminal receiver(s); and eventual prosecution.
