The Chairman Senate Committe on Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), Senator Ahmad Babba Kaita, has donated 500KVA transformers to eleven communities in Katsina North senatorial district to boost power supply.
The lawmaker said the donation was in fulfillment of his electioneering promises and determination to bring unprecedented development to the society.
He made the notification in a letter sent to the Regional Manager of Kano Electricity Distribution Company Limited (KEDCO) The letter read:
“As part of my effort to improve individual quality of life, community service development and enable business entitles to carry professional activities (Productive Use) for rural and urban population, I Distinguished Senator Ahmad Babba Kaita, has provided eleven (11) 500KVA transformers to the communities of Katsina North Senatorial District in order to boost the power supply of the constituencies”
Senator Ahmad Babba Kaita promised more infrastructural projects, youth empowerment programmes and job opportunities, among others, will be facilitated to the communities under his representation,”
The Beneficiary communities are: Madobi ‘A’ and’B’, Mazoji ‘B’ Daura local government, Maikoni ‘B’ Mai’adua LG, Bunbum ‘A’ Mai’adua LG, Kagare Sandamu LG, Katsayal Sandamu LG, Tafashiya Kankia LG, Tsohuwar Kasuwa Kankia Galadima A Kankia LG, Rogogo Zango LG and Hayin Gabas Kusada LG.
People of the communities have appreciated the facilitator for the development, saying that he had represented and impacted positively on the communities.
