Senate Leader, Bamidele Honours Oyebanji, Adelabu, Egbeyemi, Others

The Senate Leader, Distinguished Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele who represents Ekiti Central Senatorial District in the hallowed upper legislative chamber has named some projects he commissioned yesterday in honour of some prominent citizens of the state which included the state Governor, His Excellency, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, the former Deputy Governors of Ekiti state, Her Excellency, Prof. Modupe Adelabu, His Excellency Otunba Bisi Egbeyemi of the blessed memory and late Bishop Gabriel Oloniyo.

These projects are, 2KM tiled road at EKSU Alumni Village named after Governor Biodun Oyebanji, female and male medical hostels also at EKSU named after Prof. Modupe Adelabu and late Otunba Bisi Egbeyemi and a multi-million naira Digital Library situated along Ilawe road, Ado-Ekiti named in honour of late Bishop Gabriel Oloniyo.

The Senate Leader in his remarks stated that he deemed it worthy to name these newly commissioned projects after these eminent citizens in recognition of their invaluable contributions towards the development and progress of Ekiti state.

One of the honorees and a former Deputy Governor, Prof. Modupe Adelabu in an interview with Heritagenews.com correspondent showed her profound appreciation to the Senate Leader for deeming it worthy to name some of his projects after some eminent citizens both dead and alive. She also lauded the Senator Bamidele Opeyemi for facilitating tangible projects to his Senatorial District.

“I am highly elated for being honored by our Distinguished Senate Leader, Senator(Dr) Michael Opeyemi Bamidele. I commend him for his giant strides in Ekiti Central Senatorial District and for making his constituents to feel the impact of dividend of democracy” she added.
