This happened last week !
His name is Oyeyemi Alex . A young , active and committed member of the APC since the days of the AD . He is of Ado Ekiti APC Ward 10.
Never been appointed nor patronized by any progressive government in the state yet he kept hope alive .
Governor Oyebanji heard about him and sent for him . Alex was shocked to find himself sitting with a Governor in his office .
Mr Governor asks, “ How are you ?” .
Alex replies, “I am fine “ .
Mr Governor says, “you don’t look fine”. “What are you doing currently?” “How is your family?”
Then Alex opened up to Mr Governor and as usual , Mr Governor listened like a father that he is to Ekiti youth .
Instantly, Mr Governor directed that Alex submits his CV for employment in the next recruitment and approved some regular incentives for him pending the commencement of the recruitment . That’s not all
Mr Governor gave financial support to Alex’s wife to boost her business. That’s not all , of course , Alex didn’t leave the Governor’s office empty handed that day .😉 😎
Alex was utterly dumbfounded and became very emotional at how Mr Governor could turn his fortune around in few minutes after many years of his political labour and struggles.
This gesture, apart from the fact that it has removed Oyeyemi Alex from the poll of unemployed youth in Ekiti State , also shows Governor Oyebanji’s commitment to party members’ welfare beyond offering political appointments.
