Heritagenewsng  reports safety and travel advice to all travellers, in Nigeria in view of the current security situation in the country. please observe the following.

1. Lagos to Ibadan road is relatively unsafe in the early hours of the day and from 7.30pm everyday.

Flash points includes Fidiwo and Onigaari all after the Sagamu interchange.

2. Abeokuta to Second Tollgate at Remo is safe up to Siun Obafemi Owode junction. Restrain from entering the Road from Siun to Toll gate through AJURA from 7pm.

3. Ijebu Ode to Ibadan is not safe from 4pm. Narrow lanes with Articulated Trucks and potholes helps the marauders in storming small cars.

4. Avoid Ibadan to Ife /Ilesha Roads before 7am and after 8pm. Sunday a.m are particularly lonely on that road.

5. From Abeokuta to Ibadan through Odeda is relatively safe but do not enter after 7pm. If at Camp, you observe No Tipper trucks are coming inward from Odeda , please be cautious.

6. Do not offer free rides to hikers. No matter how much you are moved by the Scene, zoom off.

7. If you are not sure the Road block in front is mounted by Police, stop at least 100m away. Don’t panic. Don’t break into a run but don’t walk frontwards. Use your boot as a potential shield and observe whatever is happening at the Road block.

Pretend you are easing yourself and if you see any reason to run, RUN and Raise ALARM. It is better to be wrong than to be kidnapped.
