..Offers Special Prayers For Them
Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti, (FUOYE), Prof. Abayomi Sunday Fasina has felicitated with the Muslim community of the great Ivory Tower on the occasion of the celebration of Eid-el-Kabir, saying their sacrifices for divine support and intervention in their personal lives and national issues will not be in vain.
He stated this on Saturday in a Sallah statement he sent through his Special Adviser on Media Matters, Wole Balogun to theuslim faithfuls in FUOYE.
Prof. Fasina who urged the Muslim faithfuls to continue to emulate the spirit of dedication, commitment and sacrifices of Prophet Mohammed (SAW) as the symbol of their faith, to the ideals of a peaceful religion like lslam, said : “A time like this calls for careful reflection about life and the goodness it brings. Islam is a religion of peace and sacrifice to gain divine support and energy to whether the storms of life.
“While l felicitate with you on this joyous occasion, l urge you to use this opportunity to offer special prayers for our dear country for us to surmount all our challenges of insecurity, and other daunting challenges that we are facing currently, bearing in mind that our leaders arw also doing their best humanly possible, in this regard.
“I also heartily pray for you and all yours that the Almighty God shall make this Sallah celebration not only a successful one but also the one that shall mark the beginning of greater joy, prosperity, peace and heavenly protection for you and all your families lnsha Allah.
I hereby wish you a most joyous Sallah celebration!,” The VC said.
