Revealed! What Police Found In Seun Kuti’s House During Search
It was widely reported that the men of the Lagos State Police Command stormed Seun Kuti’ s home, the youngest son of Fela Kuti, and ransacked it in search of evidence to nail the Afrobeat singer. This is coming after a video of Kuti assaulting an officer of the police went viral a few days ago.
A source told Punch news that police officers seized his wife’ s phone and his gun’ s license during a search of the musician’ s home in Ikeja. In his exact words, he said;
” The officers that searched Seun Kuti’ s home on Tuesday only found a gun license, and they seized it. I can confirm that the command is currently working on revoking the license, ” the source said.
You may recall that Seun Kuti, the son of Afrobeat musician Fela Kuti, was arrested and handcuffed on Monday after turning himself in at the state police headquarters.
It was previously reported on Monday that Seun Kuti followed his word that he would assist with the police by handing himself in on Monday to allow the inquiry into the claim that he assaulted a police officer, as captured in a viral video.
Subsequently, Seun Kuti was detained, handcuffed, and taken to State CIID, for questioning.
This has elicited several reactions and counter reactions, with many asking what concerns assaulting a police officer and ransacking his house”.
However, according to PUNCH, Seun Kuti’s attorney, has said that neither he, nor the singer is aware of the reportedly found gun license. The Lagos PRO, Benjamin Hundayin did not respond to message sent to him over the reported development, but he had earlier said via Twitter, that they found suspicious item in the singer’s house.
