The Founder of Opeyemi David Falegan Foundation and a Philanthropist,Hon. Opeyemi David Falegan, has raised alarm that the security situation in Ekiti State is becoming alarming, mostly, Ado Ekiti.
Falegan informed the security agencies that the rate at which burglars, robbers, house breakers are operating in Ekiti State have gone out of hands and now at alarming rate.
He made this known in a press statement through his media aide, Comrade Adewumi Francis and made available to journalists in Ado Ekiti on Wednesday.
According to him, investigation revealed that the demolition of houses carried out at Atikankan,which is laudable, have pushed these criminals to various streets and communities within Ado Ekiti metropolis .
Falegan said Atikankan area served as dens of street urchins and all sorts of criminalities in the past, urging security operatives to find an urgent solution to the insecurity.
In his words, these sets of criminals have turned Ado Ekiti to an insecure place to live”,he lamented.
” Hardly a day passes without recording cases of house breaking , and other criminalities with dare devil approach in Ado Ekiti.
Falegan advised the governor not to treat these security breaches with kid gloves.
He also called on security agencies to be more alive to their responsibilities .
