The attention of concerned stakeholders and progressive forces in Ado/Irepodun-Ifelodun Federal Constituency I had been drawn to a so-called press statement credited to a faceless and unknown group parading itself as Measurable Impact and Good Governance (MIGG).
Ordinarily, such a poorly crafted and politically motivated publication should’t deserve a response, but for the sake of setting the record straight and preventing the public from being misled.
To start with, we wish to state categorically that MIGG is a faceless entity, unknown within Ekiti political space, and so lacking credibility, structure, or grassroots connection.
The group exists only in the imagination of its sponsors, whose sole aim is to create unnecessary political tension and spread falsehoods.
No recognized political bloc, stakeholder forum, or community leadership within Ado/Irepodun-Ifelodun Federal Constituency will identify or acknowledges the existence of such a faceless group.
However, it is laughable and unfortunate that such anonymous body would attempt to lecture a distinguished statesman like Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele on matters of political integrity, leadership, and democratic values.
The Senate Leader has, over the years, earned his reputation through dedication, consistency, and people-oriented service.
His leadership remains exemplary, and he continues to play a stabilizing role in Ekiti politics and at the national level.
We therefore strongly condemn any attempt by desperate political elements to distract him from his legislative responsibilities and progressive engagements.
On Hon. Olusola Steve Fatoba’s issue, we categorically rejected the unfounded allegations of non-performance.
Hon. Fatoba has continued to demonstrate effective representation through impactful constituency projects, youth empowerment initiatives, facilitation of federal appointments and consistent engagement with his constituents.
His track record speaks volumes and remains visible to all who genuinely seek the truth.
It must be clearly stated that Hon. Olusola Steve Fatoba remains the preferred and widely accepted choice of the people of Ado Ekiti and the entire constituency to continue representing them at the House of Representatives.
His growing popularity is a testament to his accessibility, humility, and unwavering commitment to grassroots development, any attempt to discredit him through propaganda will not stand, as the people are fully aware of his contributions and are resolute in their support.
Furthermore, the insinuation that any leader is attempting to “impose” a candidate is not only misleading but a deliberate distortion of political realities and facts.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State remains committed to internal democracy, due process, and the collective will of its members.
Also, Party decisions are guided by consultation, consensus, and respect for the people’s mandate not by the imagination of faceless groups.
We therefore urge the general public to disregard the claims made by MIGG, as they are nothing but a failed attempt to sow seed of discord within the party and undermine the progress recorded so far.
Ekiti people are politically conscious and cannot be deceived by anonymous groups hiding behind press statements.
In conclusion, we reaffirm our total support for the leadership of Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele and commended his continued contributions to the development of Ekiti State and Nigeria at large.
We also reiterate that Hon. Olusola Steve Fatoba remains Ado Ekiti’s favourite and most credible choice for continued representation.
Those seeking to distract our leaders or destabilize our political environment should desist, as their efforts will ultimately amount to nothing.
Signed:
Concerned Stakeholders,
Ado/Irepodun-Ifelodun Federal Constituency I.
