The Ekiti state House of Assembly Service Commission chairman, Rt. Hon. Taiwo Olatunbosun has insisted that the intention of the special Adviser to the President, Senator Femi Ojudu over roads in Ekiti is not done in good faith.
The Chairman in a statement issued by his Personal Assistant , Mr Alofe Ayomoses describes the attack as repeated acts done to former governors of the State. He said the actions were intended to malign the present governor, Kayode Fayemi.
“One would wonder why the present Political Adviser to the President has failed to call the attention of the present government he serves in to the present state of road in some part of states where he rode in before getting to Ekiti or the portion he plied if he came in through the airport in Akure. Discerning minds should ask the former lawmaker why he hasn’t raised any brows over the bad road between Akure and Ado-Ekiti or to to tell us his involvement in the Ureje contract money and why it was not completed till date. He should tell why he has not used his office as Special Adviser to the President, his purported love for Ado-Ekiti or Ekiti state and his over-bloated influence at the federal level to attract Federal projects to Ekiti to compliment the good job Dr John Kayode Fayemi is doing all over Ekiti rather than being a fault finder?” Olatunbosun aide said in the statement.
Mr Alofe said Olatunbosun has maintained his integrity and name since his active years in politics and that has seen him in government since his foray in Politics. He said his type is not a backstabber or double dealer personality like the former Senator.
“We know the backstabbers and double dealer in the former senators. Everyone can recollect his treacherous role towards Otunba Adebayo and even Ayo Fayose. How he got the supply of the inauguration cloth(Aso Oke) that Governor Fayose used in 2003 for his wife despite his claim of being an AD member.
And apart from hobnobbing simultaneously with candidates of PDP and AD governorship candidates in 2007 gubernatorial elections, Olatunbosun as an insider of the also have facts of how he got huge patronage of contracts from Governor Segun Oni through nocturnal meetings and deceits while he claimed to be working for Dr Fayemi of AD and ended up getting huge patronage of Okela/Olora road contract through his Chinese business partner which they never executed till today despite collecting 40 percent mobilization fee at the expense of Ado and Ekiti people.”, he said.
Mr Alofe said the present Government of Kayode Fayemi has done major Construction, renovation and rehabilitation of many Primary Health Center in the state, Rehabilitation, reconstruction and renovation of Ero water Dam with new equipments such as new 1500 kva generator in Ikun Ekiti, Moba local government, Rejuvenation, rehabilitation of the moribund Ikun diary farm with new Jessy cows from U.S, with massive investment in human capital and equipments. The dairy is in the process of producing 10,000 litres of milk per day, Construction of Ekiti state water Corporation Headquarters, along Iworoko, Ado-Ekiti.
And in Road, Construction of Iludun-Ekiti road, Ongoing construction of Orisunmibare road, Ewu-Ekiti. The Construction of Ilupeju-Ire-Igbemo roads in Irepodun/Ifelodun LG, The construction of Agbado-Ode-Isinbode-Omuo roads, Gbonyin/Ekiti East Local Government Areas. Ongoing construction of Iyin-Odooro roads, Construction of new Iyin-Ado Ekiti dual carriage way, Reconstruction of Erinjiyan – Aramoko’s road in Ekiti West LG, Reconstruction of Ado – Ilawe – Igbaraodo – Ibuji – Igbaraoke road in Ekiti South West LG, Reconstruction of Oye – Ayede – Isan – Iye road (ongoing)
Ongoing reconstruction of Arinke’s bridge linking Oke Ako with Ijowa/Irele Ekiti in Ikole LG Area and the Ongoing construction of Ajolagun bridge in Ikere Ekiti and Ongoing Construction of Ekiti Cargo Airport, Ado-Ekiti, the state capital where the former federal Lawmaker hails from.
Over the allegation of Olatunbosun being a leech, Alofe said, ” This is laughable. The Olatunbosun that I have known has never been a leech to anyone in power, he detest hypocrisy and he speaks truth to power. Maybe we should refresh the Senator state of mind, Olatunbosun left the PDP when he was appointee of the Jonathan led government at the Central.
He left with his head high up when he resigned from an MDG federal appointment to join APC and its a public knowledge he worked very hard for the party to regain the seat of government in Ekiti State while the likes of Ojudu hibernated in Abuja and seriously worked against the party since he could not get the ticket because of his unpopularity in the party.” Alofe said.
Alofe however said Ekiti people know who is truly serving and defending their interests between Governor Fayemi and the former Senator.
“Everyone knows the true financial Status of the state. We are not a buoyant Lagos or Rivers state. As at now, all political appointees and senior civil servants are sacrificing 25% of monthly salaries to keep the state running”
“We challenge him to point to one project his over-bloated political and holier than thou influenced has attracted to Ado or Ekiti state as Special adviser to Mr President.
He should tell us one political problem he has used his position as political adviser to solved for MR President than being part of rebel groups to attempt to destabilize the government and the party in the name too know.
