A non-governmental international organization established to empower single mothers and cater for the needy, Princess Adedoja Ogunwusi Foundation, will soon roll out Palliatives in Ekiti, Osun, and Lagos.

The founder of the humanitarian NGO, Princess Adedoja Ogunwusi based in Brazil, made the disclosure in a telephone chat with Heritage News when she said her foundation would soon start the program.

Ogunwusi said the intention of her organisation is to intervene in its own little way by cushioning the effects of the fuel subsidy removal on some selected categories of people in the earlier listed states.

She disclosed that she is aware of the government and some individual gestures in this regard, but is of the belief that many of the downtrodden in the categories of widows, aged and disabled will still not be captured in the order of events. And this prompted her organisation to take up the challenge to start giving palliatives in those states very soon.

Adedoja Ogunwusi said, ” I can imagine how these categories of people will be managing to survive during this period. I feel for them, I feel their pains, that is why I believe that I could intervene in my own little way at least.

“I am already having meetings with my organization members, and our supporters, in Brazil, UK, US, and in Nigeria about this, and we are already working on it. Very soon, we will start doing something in that direction.

“Members of our organization are already going round these states to search and select the most vonurables in these categories of people earlier listed and after which we shall start our own intervention”. Ogunwusi added.
