People’s Opinion Favours Oyebanji Says Erelu Fayemi

…Begs aggrieved party members to sheath their sword

The wife of the Executive Governor of Ekiti state, Her Excellency, Erelu Bisi Fayemi has said that people’s Opinion favoured Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji to emerge as the gubernatorial candidate of All Progressives Congress.

She said this during her visitation to Ado APC ward 11 party leaders and members along with the wife of APC governorship candidate, Dr(Mrs) Olayemi Olajumoke Oyebanji this afternoon.

The governor’s wife debunked the rumour that she and her husband picked Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for the party as the candidate.

“People should not mind the rumour going round that I was the one that picked BAO for Ekiti people. People’s Opinion favours him to emerge as the party’s candidate”

Erelu Bisi Fayemi begged aggrieved party members to sheath their sword for the progress of the party.

“If there is anyone that is aggrieved among our party members, they should please sheath their sword”

The first lady called on APC party leaders and members to focuss more on the upcoming governorship election in Ekiti state and never allowed to be distracted by other political ambitions.

She added that APC’s victory on June 18 would be a major determinant for anybody seeking for elective positions on the platform of the party.

Earlier, Dr(Mrs) Olayemi Olajumoke Oyebanji has poured encomium on Her Excellency, Erelu Bisi Fayemi for her exemplary leadership style and immense contributions to make life better for Ekiti women.

Mrs Oyebanji showed her profound appreciation to Erelu and her husband, His Excellency, Dr John Kayode Fayemi for the absolute support given to her husband, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji.

She stated further by thanking the governor’s wife for giving out time out of her tight schedule to grace today’s event.

Mrs Oyebanji described Erelu’s visitation to Ado APC ward 11 as a great honor and love she has for her.

She added that her visitation to the ward this afternoon was like an home coming because most of her childhood was spent in ward 11.

Mrs Oyebanji called on APC party leaders and members not to relent but work vigorous for the victory of the party in the upcoming governorship election which is days ahead.

The ward Chairman, Mr. Adegoke Oba in his welcome address at the start of the event expressed his joy to receive the first lady of Ekiti state, Her Excellency, Erelu Bisi Fayemi and the wife of APC governorship candidate, Dr(Mrs) Olayemi Olajumoke Oyebanji to Ado APC ward 11.

The ward chairman gave kudos to the governor’s wife for her positive impact in the life of women in Ekiti state from 2010 till date.

“Erelu Bisi Fayemi’s empowernment and developmental programs is so essential in Ekiti that we have many women from our ward who benefited that they can now feed their children and cater for themselves”

The ward Chairman also commended Dr(Mrs) Oyebanji for het contributions to the empowerment and development of women in Ekiti state.

At the end of it all, food items and tangible amount of money was given to all party members by Erelu Bisi Fayemi and Dr(Mrs) Olayemi Olajumoke Oyebanji.

Other party leaders who spoke at the event include, the LCDA Chairman of Ado West, Hon. Taiwo Adeyemi Alagba and Hon. Mike Akinleye, Ado-Ekiti LG party Chairman.

They both extolled the good virtues of the first lady and Dr(Mrs) Oyebanji and assured them that landslide victory would be recorded for APC come June 18.

The event which was carnival-like was well attended by important dignitaries which include, the Eruwon of Ado-Ekiti, High Chief Julius Aladeloye, the Odoloro of Ado, High Chief Michael Omotoyinbo, the Oloro of Ado-Ekiti.

Also at the occasion were APC party leaders and elders which include, Pa. Adekola Onikasomi, Pa. Fakorede Oge, Dr(Mrs) Habibat Omolara Adubiaro, Otunba Alowonle, Mr. Alanjay, Hon(Mrs) Bolaji Olagbaju, Hon. Olakunle Ojo, Hon(Mrs) Funmi Adeyemo, Hon. Jide Akintola, Prince Adeniyi Adedipe, Hon(Mrs) Adejuwon, Mr Victor Akinwumi, Hon.. Gbenga Akinwumi, Mr. Alakinyede, Mr Femi Oguntoyinbo Hon. Busayo Adekanbi, all ward women leaders in Ado, ward Chairmen, councillors led by Hon. Tope Ajifowobaje, political appointees from ward 11, ward Excos and other dignitaries.
