PDP NWC Receives Ekiti Ward Congress Report

…Assures of Amicable Resolution of Concerns

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has today, Monday, January 17, 2022 received the report of the Ekiti State Three-man Ad-hoc Delegate Ward Congress conducted on Saturday, January 15, 2022.

Following alleged Malpractices, some leaders of the Ekiti State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party, including former governor Segun Oni and the Senator representing Ekiti South Senatorial District, Boiodun Olujimi and others had stoutly rejected the ward congress conducted by the National Working Committee in the State on Saturday.
The leaders, which also include: former Deputy Governor Kolapo Eleka, Mr.  Lateef Ajijola and  Wale Aribisala , who are governorship aspirants, accused the committee led by the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Emmanuel Udom,  of allegedly working for one of the party  leaders suspected to be former Governor Ayodele Fayose, to hijack the process.

A statement signed the National Publicity Secretary of the party,  Hon. Debo Ologunagba and made available to heritagenewsng disclosed that the NWC has also received petitions and complaints from stakeholders on the Congress.

The NWC assures that the report as well as the petitions and complaints will be comprehensively reviewed while all concerns raised will be carefully considered for amicable resolution in the overall interest of the Party.

The NWC urges all governorship aspirants, critical stakeholders and teeming members of our Party in Ekiti State to remain calm, united and focused for the task ahead.
