Pastor Remanded For Theft And Misapplication of Entrusted Property

A Clergyman of Christ Embassy Church on Duport Road, identified as Abraham Benjamin, has been remanded to the Monrovia Central Prison by the Monrovia City Court for allegedly misusing his lover Christine Singbah’s 100,000 United States Dollars.

Defendant Abraham Benjamin was charged for theft of property and misapplication of entrusted property.

Magistrate Jomah Jallah’s May 26, 2022 detention ordered according to RC Judicial Correspondent was based on his lover Christine Singbah’s accounts to the police alleging that the money was intended for a construction project, but on the contrary, he converted same into his personal use.

Additionally, Madam Christine shipped a 40-foot container, with different commodities to Liberia in his care, but the clergyman again sold and converted the proceeds, and failed to provide financial record of the transaction.

She further alleged that Nine Thousand United States Dollars was sent to Pastor Abraham Benjamin to buy two acres of land and addition half lot but surprisingly when came to Liberia, he did not purchase the land, nor did he give reasons to prove where the money went.

Meanwhile police investigations established that the Christ Embassy Church clergyman received monies through his lover Christine Singbah but did not implement the projects after receiving the amount in question.
