Ekiti State Correspondents Chapel Press Centre has been refurbished by the state Governor, His Excellency, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji.
Governor Biodun Oyebanji was at the meeting of the State Council of Traditional Rulers at the old Governor’s Office Oke Ori Omi , Ado Ekiti last month when some journalists attempted to interview him. The Governor jovially asked them how they got to know he was with the traditional rulers and they told him their press centre is located within the complex.
The Governor took a walk with the journalists to the Press Centre after the interview and when he saw the poor state of the Press Centre, he assured them that he would assist them to fix the building and also provide some facilities for the centre.
A few days after, the Governor sent the SA Media and an architect to do an assessment of work to be done on the building. Today, barely four weeks after the visit, renovation of the Press Centre has reached 90 per cent completion.
