Oyebanji Applauded As Elebute- Halle Distributes Rice, Salts, Maggi, Drinks, Cash Worth Million to Groups In Ekiti

Various Groups across the 16 local governments have commended Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s effort in cushioning the effects of the Economic Doldrums in the state.

The groups drawn from the 16 local governments of Ekiti state have applauded Governor Oyebanji after the received the palliatives which was distributed by the former Governorship candidate, Erelu Kemi Elebute Halle in her Ado Ekiti residence yesterday.

Elebute-Halle who distributed over 150 bags of rice, tagged: BAO rice to groups disclosed that she added more rice to the rice given to her by the Governor and distributed them with other items like; Salts, Maggi, Drinks And Cash Gifts Worth 1 Million naira to the people to complete the Governor’s efforts.

The All Progressives Congress, APC Chieftain who hosted the leaders and representatives of all the groups namely; Dominion, Ekiti Mega group for BAO 2024 and Okinlua Support group For Mrs Monisade Afuye the Deputy Governor of Ekiti State at her residence in the state Capital declares that her philanthropic gesture has nothing to do with Politics but as an avenue to render succour to those battling the effects of economic downturn in the country.

Speaking during the presentation of the bags of rice to the leaders of the groups and Political Parties, Elebute Elebute+Halle said it is sacrosanct to support the good works, propagate the Goodwill of the Governor and extend the hand of fellowship of his Excellency Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji.

“I have been doing charitable works for a very long time before venturing into politics. The Governor has mandated that the palliatives should go round and inorder to ensure that it gets to the innermost parts of the state we have to help spread the Gospel by distributing this palliatives to the people who needed it most especially the less privileged in the communities.

“I received at least more than a hundred bags of rice from his Excellency I have added at least another 50 bags of what good will it be if I hoard the bags of rice? I will rather distribute to those who are in need”

She decried the attitude of some persons who reportedly hoard the palliatives instead of distributing it to those in need.

She maintained that while it is common knowledge that the economic doldrums is affecting all the corners of the earth and she trust that the hard times will soon be a thing of the past, she therefore called on all the leaders of the groups and Political parties to ensure that the palliatives are evenly distributed.

Responding on behalf of the groups and Local Governments, Chief Olufemi Epon lolaye the Presidents of Dominion group, Pastor Olayinka John, President Ekiti Mega group For BAO 2024, and Honorable Ade Adetunji of the Okinlua support group for the Deputy Governor Mrs Afuye Monisade and other coordinators all thanked Governor Biodun Oyebanji for the kind gesture while they also showered praises on Erelu Kemi Halle for the timely distribution of the bags of rice and cash gifts.

Chief Ade Adetunji also called on other leaders who got the rice to emulate the acts of Elebute Halle by desisting from hoarding the palliatives.

In a related development, Erelu Kemi also visited Transit orphanage Home in Ado Ekiti on behalf of the former first lady of Ekiti State Erelu Bisi Fayemi where she donated one bag of rice and the sum of 50,000 naira.

Erelu Halle said the gesture was from the former first lady who instructed her to pay a courtesy visit to the orphanage but she also added the cash to further support the goodwill of Erelu Bisi Fayemi.

Mrs Adewale Adenike the coordinator of the Orphanage home was full of praises for Erelu Bisi Fayemi for her continuous support and love for children and women in the society, she also thanked Erelu Kemi Halle for the cash gifts and wished her well in all her  endeavors.
Thereafter the former Chairman of Ikole local government Wole Ayeni presented a beautiful Picture portrait to Erelu Kemi Halle at her residence.
Mr. Wole Ayeni maintained that it is a token of appreciation to a woman whom she believes has shown exemplary character in leadership and humanity
