Opeyemi Thumbs Up Bamidele For Doing Ekiti Proud Through Sport

Heritagenewsng reports that Ceo of Opeyemi David  Foundation (ODF) has urged Ekiti youths to emulate young  Ekiti born Bamidele Ajayi who joined three other Nigerian youths to win the first gold medal for Nigeria at the ongoing World Under 20 athletics championship in Kenya.
In a statement signed by Mr. Opeyemi David Falegan, he described the achievement as laudable and worthy of emulation.
He noted that lots of energy, commitment, and focus must have helped Bamidele to outclass his fellow competitors  from European countries at the competition.
He noted that young Bamidele who hailed from a humble background has shown the strength of Ekiti as a state which used to be the hub of some of the fastest sprinters who dominated the global athletics scene.
Mr.Opeyemi said Bamidele has signalled the begining of a return to the good old days when Ekiti produced the fastest man and woman in Africa in person of Olusoji Fasuba and Damola Osayomi.
He urged the young runner to remain focused to retain the enviable status as one of Africa finest athletes.
Opeyemi promised to do all within his powers to always support Ekiti Youths especially on worthwhile ventures that could help them actualize their vision as future leaders.
He also congratulated the entire Ekiti sports men and women as well as sports enthusiasts on the  impressive development in sports.
