The following over 70 cultists denounced their membership in the town as a result of prayers offered to their ancestors in Ikere Ekiti Community where activities of cultists and killings have been rampant in the recent time.
The Ikere Ekiti Community have been notorious for cultists activities and killings in the recent time, to the extent that residents were expressing fear and anxiety.
The Ogoga of Ikere Ekiti, Oba Adejimi Adu has confirmed that more than seventy cultists in the town have renounced their membership with various fraternity groups.
Addressing newsmen in Ikere Ekiti, Oba Adu explained that their renouncement follow the prayer offered to Ikere ancestors to expose cultists killing one another in the community except they surrender.
The Monarch urged other cultists in the town to surrender or face the wroth of Ikere ancestors.
Oba Adu called on parents to closely monitor their children, saying that most of the criminal activities experienced were as a result of poor parental care.
