The need for synergy between all security agencies and government both state and national levels, has been described as the only answer to insecurity in Nigeria.
This was part of the appeal made by Senator Biodun Olujimi, on Monday, while congratulating an Ekiti based business man, Alhaji Suleiman Akinbami, who was abducted at his filling station along Ado-Ijan road last Sunday to an unknown destination but regained his freedom from his abductors on January 17, 2021.
In a statement by Olujimi through her Special Assistant on Media, Chief Sanya Atofarati said it was necessary for Government to partner the Local Hunters in combating crimes and especially the recent cases of kidnap in the state.
She said; In Combing the major forests that are vulnerable to harbouring the criminals, the Government must be ready to partner the locals and especially the hunters and farmers who are familiar with this areas, while also encouraging the people of the state to cooperate with relevant Security Agencies to ensure adequate information and report on suspicious movements around them.”
Olujimi congratulated the Oil Mogul, Alhaji Suleiman Akinbami, saying it was necessary to appreciate God for sparing his life from his Abductors.
The statement reads: “Congratulations to Alhaji Suleiman Akinbami for regaining his freedom unhurt from his Abductors ,even after eight days of subjugation. We also thank God for sparing his life. We empathize with him and pray that God repose his loss.
We, however, appeal to the APC led Government both in the state and at Federal levels to intensify further efforts in ensuring that lives and properties of every citizens are protected. Olujimi concluded.
