Okorobo Festival 2025: Olufaki Meets Consultant, Sets Up First Committee

In a strong commitment to elevate the Okorobo Festival to a global platform, the Olufaki of Ifaki, Oba John Adegbenro Falore convened a pivotal meeting yesterday in his palace ,Ifaki Ekiti with the renowned international festival consultant, Ravicom Integrated Concept.

This collaboration marks a significant step towards the successful execution of the Okorobo Festival 2025 and the establishment of a first-ever Committee dedicated to the assessment and proper profiling of the festival.

Under the leadership of Kabiyesi, the newly formed Committee comprises distinguished members, including High Chief Oluwore, the family custodian of the Okorobo Festival, and the Director General of the Ekiti State Bureau of Tourism Development, Barrister Wale Ojo-Lanre, among others.

The inclusion of industry experts underscores the commitment to preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of Ifaki Ekiti while ensuring the festival’s growth and sustainability.

During the meeting, Oba Falore emphasized the importance of engaging an international consultant, stating, “In an ever-evolving global landscape, it is imperative that we adopt best practices in festival organization and management. Ravicom Integrated Concept brings a wealth of experience that will enable us to showcase the Okorobo Festival not just locally, but to audiences around the world.”

The creation of this Committee signifies a proactive approach to festival planning, allowing for meticulous assessment and comprehensive profiling. High Chief Oluwore, reflecting on the festival’s significance, remarked, “The Okorobo Festival is a vital part of our cultural identity. This Committee will ensure that our traditions are celebrated, and that we engage with our diaspora and visitors in meaningful ways.”
