Heritagenewsng reports that the family of Odofin has rejected the selection of Mr Anthony Abiodun Fagbeyo from Ojigun family as Odofin of Ire-Ekiti.
This was according to a suit filed at the High Court of Justice, Ikole-Ekiti, judicial division by Olakanmi S. Falade on behalf of Mr. Mark Jegede for the claimant family, Odofin.
Wherein, The court was asked to give an interim injunction, refraining the Onire of Ekiti either by himself or his privies from installing Mr. Anthony Abiodun as the Odofin of Ire-Ekiti, the installation which is billed to take place on 29th December, 2021.
The respondent in the suit are , His Royal Majesty, Oba Victor Adeleke Bobade(Okeoro ii) Onire of Ire-Ekiti, Mr. John Ajayi and Mr Anthony Abiodun Fagboyo.
Odofin family urged the court to stall the scheduled installation from holding, saying the selection was faulty and unacceptable.
Therefore, the claimant’ lawyer urged parties to maintain status quo ante upon being served with the court processes.
