NUJ, Information Chapel Congratulates Member, Ogunsakin; Babatuyi, Others on Electoral Victories
The State Information Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ekiti State has felicitated with the immediate past Chairman of the Chapel, Comrade O’Seun Ogunsakin for emerging the Secretary of the Union at the State Council level.
The Chapel also congratulates other members of the State Council Executive, particularly the Chairman, Kayode Babatuyi for emerging unopposed at the election held on Wednesday.
In a release by the Caretaker Committee Chairman, Com. Rotimi Feyisina and the Secretary, Com. Yemisi Popoola, the Chapel expressed delight in having a member as the Scribe of the State Council, describing it as a great feat recorded by the Chapel at this time.
The release described Ogunsakin as a round peg in a round hole, considering his antecedents and the feats recorded by him during the campaign tours as attested to by the incumbent Chairman at the manifesto night.
The Chapel urged the new executive members not to betray the confidence and trust reposed in them by members of the fourth estate of realm in returning them unopposed, charging them to roll their sleeves and hit the ground running, taking cues from the immediate past Rotimi Ojomoyela led EXCO.
While pledging the support of the Chapel to the Babatuyi led EXCO, the Caretaker Committee promised to conduct a free, fair and credible election in January, 2024 to usher in a substantive Chapel EXCO expected to work hand in hand with the State Council towards the welfare of members.
